Upon applying for a loan or cashing a cheque each customer must sign a privacy disclosure and consent statement attached to the application form. The signing of this statement permits the giving of information to a credit reporting agency, exchanging of information with other credit providers etc.
All personal, credit worthiness, credit standing, credit history or credit capacity information collected by Money Centre and/or the lender(s) is done so in accordance with the Privacy Act. The aforementioned information is used in order to complete our loan services, assist us in assessing credit worthiness/capacity, satisfy regulatory requirements, the administering of our services, to access a customer’s account by a financial institution via a direct debit facility and if need be for debt collection purposes.
The security of a customer’s information is of paramount importance to Money Centre and all reasonable precautions are undertaken to safeguard a customer’s information from loss, unauthorised access, misuse or disclosure.
